BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN PEOPLE is a tense crime drama set in the seedy underworld of Austin, Texas. The story follows Mia and Rick, two bank robbers living on the edge. After a heist goes disastrously wrong, they find themselves in deeper trouble when they kidnap the little sister of a dangerous hustler to escape the law and their enemies. As tensions rise and alliances fray, Mia and Rick are forced to confront their past decisions while navigating a deadly game of survival, betrayal, and revenge.
Our Story
Let’s Make A Bad Movie started in Austin, TX, in 2022, born out of a passion to create a space where filmmakers of all backgrounds could experiment, learn, and grow—without fear of failure. In our first year, we produced nine short films, each exploring different genres and styles. To top it off, we hosted our very own film festival, selling out and bringing people together in true Austin fashion.

In the spirit of "Keeping Austin Weird," we embraced bold creativity, pushing boundaries, and taking risks. Building on that momentum, we created our first full feature, *Beautifully Broken People*, in 2024. Our group remains committed to fearless filmmaking, celebrating diversity, and staying true to Austin’s unique vibe.
